Matters Arising from last minutes.
The bus stop in Penn Way has been repaired after
being vandalised. A gas pipe under the road nearby has been repaired so there is
no longer a smell of gas in the vicinity.
The 202 service from Ashwell station has
been retendered and is now operated by A2B coaches. The timings are being altered
to better fit with train arrivals. See the Intalink website for up to date details.
Children are still using the 90/91 service.
Bus services
Several issues were discussed:
It was raised that there was no direct
bus connection between Baldock and Lister Hospital and suggested the 55 Arriva service
could divert slightly to connect Baldock. It was noted that the 386 service could
be used although this is a more limited service than the 55 and does not run on Sundays.
In fact Baldock has no Sunday bus services at all.
We will contact Arriva to suggest
an amendment to the 55 service, although this has been suggested in the past with
no result.
There was discussion on how to get to Biggleswade or Bedford by bus, with
members sharing advice.
The procedure for raising problems with commercial services
was noted (again).
The next meeting will be Monday 8th July 2019 at 14:00 Letchworth Council Offices.
This will also be the AGM.
